How a bank connection works

Connect once. WiseFlow keeps a read-only mirror.

Bank connections are a Premium feature, available for supported banks in the United States and Canada, for up to four accounts.

Choose your bank

Before starting a new bank connection, WiseFlow requires Biometric Lock to be enabled. Then pick a supported US or Canadian bank and authenticate through Plaid Link or your bank’s own authorization screen.

WiseFlow mirrors it

Each account you select becomes a read-only wallet with its recent transactions and the latest balance your bank reports. Transactions are auto-categorized where possible; uncertain ones go to Needs Review.

You stay in control

Confirm the category on anything in Needs Review, and disconnect the whole bank connection whenever you want.

Read-only by design

WiseFlow reads your bank. It never moves your money.

A connected account is a mirror. WiseFlow imports its transactions and shows the balance your bank reports, but a bank wallet is never a source for a payment, a transfer, or any manual money movement in the app. The displayed balance comes from the normal bank sync and is not a real-time balance check, so it is shown with its sync status. A category you confirm yourself is kept, even after a later sync.

The whole connection, not one account. Disconnecting applies to the whole connection, including every account under it. You confirm it, and choose whether to keep or delete the transactions already imported. WiseFlow asks Plaid to remove the connection and keeps it visible until removal is confirmed.

A few clear answers

Your bank, mirrored and only mirrored.

Which banks can I connect to WiseFlow?

Supported banks in the United States and Canada, through Plaid, for up to four accounts on a Premium plan. If your bank is not available for a direct connection, you can still import a statement.

Can WiseFlow move money in my connected bank account?

No. A connected bank account is read-only in WiseFlow. It is excluded from every payment, transfer, and manual money action in the app.

Does WiseFlow see my bank username or password?

No. You authenticate through Plaid Link or your bank’s own secure authorization screen. WiseFlow does not receive, store, or log your bank login credentials.

Why does WiseFlow ask for Face ID or my fingerprint?

Before starting a new bank connection, WiseFlow requires Biometric Lock to be enabled. If it is not on yet, you are asked to verify once, which turns on the app lock and authorizes the connection. This is a WiseFlow security requirement, not something Plaid imposes.

How do I disconnect a bank?

Disconnecting applies to the whole connection, including every account under it. You confirm the disconnect and choose whether to keep or delete the transactions already imported. WiseFlow asks Plaid to remove it and keeps it visible until removal is confirmed.

Keep your money close

See everything. Move nothing you didn’t mean to.

Connect a supported US or Canadian bank for the full picture. WiseFlow keeps it read-only, and you can disconnect at any time.
